We have collected old garments, taken them apart and made patterns.
We offer custom made garments. These garments are much like ordering items from the Edo Period in Japan. Edo Period (1601 - 1867 A.D.) Prior to and during the Edo Period, fabric use was very class orientated. Silk was, by law, reserved for the upper classes (Samurai) while hemp, ramie and other plant derived fibers were used by the common person.
We can not get that type of fabric. We use a sports fabric that is a pollyester/cotton mix. New! 100% Cotton in Black or Dark Brown sports fabric. WE make sports clothing for the Samuari.
Red Sun Traditions is the only place you can buy a Kataginu as a single item.
Our custom made items run in cost much like basic ready-made garments you can order from other stores. We make your item after we get the order. It is just as simple to cut it to your size.

If you do not want to measure yourself, just order your size in Small, Medium, Large, XL or XXL.
We offer several colors in each item so you can customize your own pieces. We do not carry a large line of ready made garments. Your order will go next in line.
We use a premium quality sports fabric mix. You will notice we have added a few colors cotton fabrics.
We have a seamstress . To sew letters on the back your martial jacket. Put Strips on arms and legs. Rank Strips. Hem and seaming. Sew on patches. Watch for a complete list of projects coming soon.
